A deserved defeat in Brussels. Poland had no chance against Belgium
The Polish national team lost 1:6 to Belgium in their second match in the UEFA Nations League at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels. Thanks to Robert Lewandowski, the White-and-Reds took the lead in the first half, but it was only Roberto Martinez's men who scored after that. The victory for Belgium was achieved with the goals scored by Kevin De Bruyne, Leander Dendoncker, Loïs Openda and two goals from Leandro Trossard. In three days' time, Czesław Michniewicz's players will face the Netherlands in Rotterdam in another Nations League match.
Poland has turned the match around! Wales defeated in Wrocław
The Polish national team won 2:1 against Wales in Wrocław in the first match of the UEFA Nations League A Group 4. The visiting team was in the lead after a goal from outside the penalty box scored by Jonny Williams. In the 72nd minute, Jakub Kamiński led them to a draw with his first goal scored for the national team. The victory for the White and Reds was secured in the end by the reliable Karol Świderski.
Robert Lewandowski: The match against Wales will be a challenge for us
"The Nations League matches will give us a chance to prepare for the next national team training camp. It is a good moment for the whole team to think about what is off and what we can improve in our game," said Polish national team captain Robert Lewandowski at the opening press conference of the June national team training camp.
Czesław Michniewicz: It will be a very attractive group
"Our group is certainly very attractive. I haven't kept up to date with football in Argentina, Mexico and Saudi Arabia, but many Argentine footballers play in Europe. We have time to prepare," said Czesław Michniewicz, the head coach of the Polish nationa team, after the group stage draw for the final tournament of the World Cup.
Schedule for the World Cup in Qatar
FIFA has released the official match schedule for the World Cup final tournament, which will be played from 21 November to 18 December in Qatar. The Polish national team was drawn in Group C and will face Mexico (22 November), Saudi Arabia (26 November) and Argentina (30 November).
