Poland vs Albania match will be played at PGE Narodowy
The Polish Football Association announces that the Poland vs Albania European Qualifiers match, scheduled for 27 March of this year, will be played at PGE Narodowy. The entire March national team training camp will also be held in Warsaw.
"We really wanted to play at the home of the Polish national team, the PGE Narodowy. This venue is a lucky one for us, it's where we advanced to the 2016 and 2020 European Championships, as well as the 2018 World Cup, and we also wanted to play in Warsaw for EURO 2024. The stadium operator assured us that the venue would be fully safe and ready for use for the March match against Albania. However, we delayed our decision until the final inspections had taken place and the relevant documents were presented to us to confirm this. After all, safety is the most important thing for us," said PZPN President Cezary Kulesza.
The White-and-Reds will begin their EURO 2024 qualifiers on 24 March at 08:45 p.m. with a match against the Czech Republic in Prague. Three days later, the players of head coach Fernando Santos will face Albania. The match at PGE Narodowy will also take place at 08:45 p.m.
